Description
Type epecimen, displaying the head from the inferior aspect, tracee of about thirty anterior vertebrae, the pectoral arch, and the right pectoral fin. The snout is very obtuse, and the head measures 0-047 in length. The teeth are numerous and relatively small, displaying the characters already noted in the specif-ic diagnosis, and one is shown, of six times the natural size, in Pl. XVI. fig. 6. The pectoral fin is acutely triangular, with a short base of insertion, and slender basal cartilaginous rays. Pur-chased, 1884.
