Description
Original diagnose after Jaekel (1894) p. 77 [1209]: Fig. 8 stellt ebenfalls einen Zahn aus dem mittleren Eocän von Brüssel dar und ist seiner Form nach der Gattung Rhinobatus unterzuordnen. Da er sich, abgesehen von kleineren Unterschieden, durch die starke Entwicklung seitlicher, nach vorn verlaufender Zapfen der Krone von den übrigens untereinander wenig verschiedenen Zähnen der lebenden Arten unterscheidet, möchte ich ihn ebenfalls mit einem besonderen Namen Rhinobatus bruxelliensis n. sp. kennzeichnen.
